Inspired by friends....

When Jenna was Cale's age I started this blog as a way to journal this experience called motherhood! It's hard to believe that was 4 years ago, and I haven't written in at least 3 years! A lot of things have changed but one thing has stayed the same: Getting there is half the fun......only wish I knew where I was going!

Having a baby boy is a totally new adventure....actually having two children is a totally new adventure! Cale is sweet, loving, easy going, and a lot of fun....I truly believe Jenna was born a DIVA. He will be 13 weeks old tomorrow and it seems to have flown by. Following Jenna's birth I was so tired, between the blood loss, fluid build up, 1st time mom anxiety, and then a baby who never slept more than 2 hours at a time (until she was 3!!!), I just feel like I missed so much. This time is a totally different experience. I truly enjoy every moment (well maybe not the dirty diapers!).

Another wonderful thing about baby #2 is the relationship between Jenna & Cale. She loves her brother so much and truly puts him first, which isn't always easy for my lil' diva! Tonight she sat next to his changing table and read him books for 20 minutes. Every time I checked on them they were both smiling!

BUT I think the best thing about having a little boy is..............his lack of accessories!!!!!! No hair bows, frilly socks, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc! Don't get me wrong, I love my Diva, but getting out the door with 2 of them might have been impossible!

Always running behind!

Girls in Galveston, TX
Playing Street Music!
Family!

I am trying to do better but as usual it has been a month! We had a great time at the beach the first week in August ( all 30 of us and the hurricane hit while we were there!) and school is off with a bang! I am teaching dance full time and it is soooooo much fun! It is the easiest job and the toughest I have ever had! It is a lot less work than regular classroom but as much moving around that much and teaching choreography to Kindergarten is a real work out! (No wonder I have lost over 6 lbs in 3 weeks!) I will be in charge of a 250 kid cast that does a full blown production of the Nutcracker in December so remember to keep me in your prayers.

Jenna loves her school and is learning so much. She has even learned to spell her name in the last 2 weeks! Remember she just turned 2 in May!

Another month has passed

So yet another month has passed since I wrote. I have spent many hours laying in the sun, traveling, and having fun! I have spent the most hours picking blackberries on our farm. It has been loads of summer fun! Oh and by they way, I finally got a tattoo!

Catching up!

Okay, so I am such a loser at keeping up with this thing and even worse at reading other peoples but I am going to try to do better this summer.

First of all, let me catch everyone up on the last few weeks in April. Some of you have been reading my blog enough to know that I have a 2 first cousins that I had never met. Well, for some not so great reasons, I did get to meet them in April and I couldn't have asked for more. There are wonderful and a testament to their mother and how she raised them. I can't wait to see them again, it was amazing to make the connections that were so obviously family traits (like the fact we are all horrible spellers! LOL!). ANYWAY, happy birthday Tabby!

The month of May was a GIANT blur! BUT, I did get the results of my test and it is official, I will be teaching DANCE, 5 HOURS A DAY NEXT YEAR! No class room teaching, just dance!

Then last week the kids came to stay and what a great time we had. Here are a few splish splash pictures!

Giddy-up Cowboy!

We had Jenna's second birthday party this weekend (her real birthday is Mothers Day)! It was a "farmtastic" time, as my daughter is obsessed with Farm animals! She gets that from her Dad!

Happy Easter

Just thought I'd take a minute to post a picture of Jenna at Easter.
