As everyone knows, I had an interview at Union PS today and can I say WOW!!!!! This school was the size of MSU with a lot newer and nicer campus. It was amazing. AstroTurf football field, a John Q. Hammons Arena, an aquatics center and even a gym made especially for Gymnastics! It was the coolest school I have ever been to. IT WAS AMAZING! For those of you who watch the reality show on MTV were the kids play football, that team plays Union. Anyway, the interview went great and I feel very good about it and about turning down the Tulsa contract. I am sure God has a plan for us but I secretly hope it involves Union Schools!
On another note, I found out that Sparta is also losing a FABULOUS Kindergarten teacher and a WONDERFUL counselor today. I think it is sad how much our students are losing.......

Ok, I have been lurking on your site, and now I have to comment. I am very happy for you. I think once you work for another school district, you will not believe the crap you have been putting up with. I felt like I hated teaching, it wasn't for me and then one day my aunt who is a teacher up north said, "Erica, maybe it wasn't you, maybe it was the district you were in." Well I had never really thought of it that way. I can't help it if I worked for a bunch of crazy ass people. I mean telling you to get off your butt and go back to work when you are 27 weeks prego and in labor is not very cool! I still am scared to go back to teaching, because I am afraid it really is me, I think I don't like being around kids all day long. 3 at home is enough! Well sorry I rambled but I have been reading your blog and I wish you the best.
