Wall Paper! Shmall Paper!!

Okay first of all let me start by telling Donna I got my tree down on Saturday morning! Christmas has know left the building!
Second of all, there is never an easy way out! If you haven't heard me talk about it by now, we have a little work at our house. We got beautiful land but the house is a "fixer upper!" We have what I have affectionately named the "Ugly" room. This room has the ugliest wall paper (I am not sure that it isn't just contact paper)and ALL of the old wood trim is painted sky blue! So I have put this room off and put it off. I decided to strip the wall paper, not working. So I got the bright idea to put new wall paper up, that looks like faux finish, over the old stuff. So that lead me to the following:
Shawna's list of how NOT to install wall paper!

1. One does not need the help of ones 20 month old, though she did look cute with the putty knife trying to get rid of air bubbles like Mommy.
2. IF you do not need the help of your 20 month old, make sure your husband isn't engrossed in the football game.
3. DO NOT leave said 20 month old in the bathroom with a tub of warm wall paper water and a piece of bread (no explanation needed!).
4. Do not hang wall paper around the boxes and furniture that you haven't put away yet.
5. Maybe a ladder would work better than a bar stool!

So, professional wall paper installer will never be listed on my resume and when I get it finished I will post pictures. Until then, enjoy the following pictures.

Wow! Leave it to you to make something so ugly look so beautiful! And. . .I'm sure you did it at a quarter of the price that a "normal" person could. HA! The house looks GREAT! -Kellie

It's coming along very cute! I'm impressed at your abilities. I have to say, undoing before you do is so much more work. Makes you appreciate that new house that you had to work with before. It was definitley a 'blank slate'. Good job! Hop on over and see what we've been up to.
